New rides...
Well as you can see by the pictures our plans have changed some what. As has our form of transport. With a new bike and a not so new Toyota Sandtana we are heading into Mexico with the hopes of warm water and scoring more waves then we have in the last seven months. The riding will not be grinding to an end just yet, although it is taking on a somewhat different format.
As in the pictures you can see a modified taiwanese frame. The drop outs where choped off and Rohloff compatible ones added, some extra braze ons and a little bit of extra steel to stiffen things up in the rear for the disk brake. The handle bars are Jeff Jones H-Bars. They may look a little odd but they are by far the most comfortable bar I have ever used. Last but not least a Ahearne cycles sticker up front. Just to dream!
The trailer is a beautiful Farfarer. All the pre mentioned modifications were done by Darren of Farfarer trailers, I should mention that the lack of weld finishing was my request, as is the lack of paint on the trailer. A huge thank you to both Darren and Quetin for all their help.
